Becoming a Nurse is a journey
Many people are familiar with the saying, “ It’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey. ” Whether this quote applies to pursuing a career, partaking in new experiences, or an actual road trip, it encourages you to value the process of reaching your goals. I believe this version of the quote specifically applies to the journey I will take in wise. Journies include failures, detours, trail-and-errors, and situations that force you out of your comfort zone. The effort I put into overcoming these obstacles during the 3rd and 4th quarter will result in a more rewarding journey towards becoming a nurse. The COVID-19 pandemic is a brick wall standing between me and an internship/shadowing position in a hospital. In order to solve this problem, I will have to explore other ways to emerge myself in a medical atmosphere while staying safe, including interviewing nurses of many different specialties.
