No internship? No problem.

How to get a WISE experience without an internship:

  • Talk to a nurse about their path to their current specialty / how they picked it 

  • Learn about all the different options you have with a nursing degree

  • Look at case studies --> patients with symptoms, researching the symptoms, study their diagnosis 

  • Research COVID-19's continuing impact 

  • Flow-chart or PSA of typical examination 

  • Project- looking up what a physical is like / make a video of how it would go

  • Operation game- learning content and anatomy

  • Potential Internship Sites | Benedictine | Chicago | Catholic Universities

    I also had researching COVID and I think that will be really useful in the upcoming years. It will be an important thing to learn about.

    Making an operation game using anatomy sounds like a really creative idea. I also think it's good to learn more about the way COVID impacts the medical field, since it will be so prominent in the upcoming years.
